Today I passed 199,900 miles on my 2001.5 Passat, which means 200,000 will be reached Tuesday or Wednesday this week. I definitely need to take a picture when it hits the milestone. My question to any of the oppos in the Milwaukee area, is where should I try to time the mileage to get a good picture? My first thought would be the Art Museum because it always makes for a great backdrop. I thought about the Milwaukee Mile but the Passat doesn't exactly fit that type of vehicle. Any other ideas?

I was like, “Why is it a big deal you made it to 200k?” Then I realized it’s a Passat.

Allen-Bradley, 6th St Viaduct, Hoan Bridge (via Bruce St), Domes, Quadracci Pavilion, HD Museum, or just find a nice scenic spot.

I vote you find a nice scenic spot, or just a nondescript building and take a good picture. Good luck!

I'm going to take it another direction. Go to one of the bombed out parks on the northside for the "rough and edgy" vibe. I wouldn't be out too long though.

I like the Viaduct and Domes ideas

It's a 1.8T with 5-speed. It had the top end rebuilt around 100,000 miles after the previous owner botched a timing belt job. But since then I've done oil changes, one timing belt change, and other than that just brakes and tires. For an unreliable vehicle, it has been unbelievably reliable.
